- Login to the client's: admin.microsoft.com > Exchange
- Enable the user's In-Place Archive in Exchange Admin Center
Force the archiving via PowerShell
- Launch Microsoft Exchange Online PowerShell
- Connect to Exchange Online Powershell using the scripts below:
- Connect-ExoPsSession -UserPrincipalName "customer's admin email" (1Pass)
- Enter the password (1Pass)
- Authenticate MFA code (1Pass)
- Initiate script: Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -Identity user@customer.com
This command will force the newly enabled In-Place archive of the client's email account
You can monitor the progress by:
- Checking the Mailbox Usage from the customer's account properties
- Checking the details of the In-Place Archive
